MY STYLE & INSTAGRAM

Hello!

If you follow my Instagram, you'll probably already know I love my clothes. Over the last few months I've made more of an effort with what I wear. It used to be baggy tee's and a checkered shirt (all Topman, too), now it's tailored trousers, smart shirts and a well fitted blazer. This didn't come from just anywhere, I was inspired by people I work with, as well as people I saw on the street.

Here is a few examples of how I used to dress... Bland, boring and with no effort. Buying clothes and making an effort, was just too much effort for me. I started following a few brands & magazines on Instagram, who then lead on me to follow some menswear writers & models. I was inspired. There are a lot of users that I love, but I thought I'd show you a few of my favourites.

1. Terry Donovan

Terry is one of the first people I followed, he was managing the Topman General Stores (who I work for). He's also founder of The Sartorial 7, a collective of 7 very stylish men. I love Terry's classic look and eye for detailing, everything just flows. From pocket squares to tie pins, the days are gone when all accessories had to match. It's all about clashing patterns and attention to detail, Terry show's us how it's done.

2. Tintinfellow

One of my favourite Instagram accounts right now, a real classic British Heritage feel. I don't know much about this guys background but he's pulling it out of the bag every week. There's a real sense of 'Britishness' about this guys style, there's also a lot  of tweed, Barbour & Morrissey involved. Definitely one to check out if you love a classic British man.

3. Alessandro Lupi

All I can really say about this guy is WOW... what a bunch of amazing suits. Again, I don't know much about this guy, but he does own some amazing suits. It's the real Italian Style tailoring I love, everything just fits well. There's a good colour co-ordiantion and clash of colours and patterns. Considering I only bought my 1st suit around 5 months ago, I never thought I'd be so envious of a mans suit collection.

There you have it, a few guys that inspire my fashion and make me want to dress better. My style is changing, if I'm ever on there guys level then I've made it. It's great to see men taking such pride in their appearance.

14. WALL OF ARMS - The Maccabees

There are some songs that have been keeping me entertained on my commute to work. New and old, what with The Maccabees creeping back on the scene and The Libertines signing a new record deal, it's got my memory going. Uptown Funk is probably the catchiest song of the year. With a bit of Christmas nostalgia (probably the best Christmas song) and some new Jamie T thrown in, this playlist keeps me sane.

The beginning...

After getting a good reaction to my Instagram feed over the past few months, I've decided to start documenting my fashion, music and other bits onto a BLOG!

I'll do my best to keep it up to date, with outfits of the day and Spotify playlists, etc.

Thanks
Mac
